    UMW Talking Points-- Hershey 6-12-12

    UMW Talking Points-- Hershey 6-12-12.pdf

United Methodist Women has joined partners in the Raise the Bar campaign, calling on the Hershey Company to be an industry leader by certifying the source of their cocoa-- key ingredient for Hershey chocolate.  The concern is that cocoa from sub-contractors that are not independently certified as fair trade frequently use child labor in the cocoa fields in West Africa.  As part of our commitment to international law and to the rights of children, United Methodist Women call on Hershey to set high standards.  Attached is background material and links for more information.
